Not only was it the first snowy day of the year, it was the first time Gerry and I trekked through the nature trails at the park in our new neighborhood.

American Red Squirrel

Smaller than the gray squirrel - the American Red Squirrel loved our deck. This little one loves jumping on a dog blanket and bites and pulls at it (maybe trying to get some seeds or water out of it, I don't know ?)

Rustic Deck View

One of these days we'll have to do some maintenance / rebuild the deck - it's kind of weathered. For now I'll just be enjoying the rustic look :)

Kind of reminds me of the Lenny Kravitz tune "Fields of Joy". This area is filled with wild natural flowers next to the woods - - edited to my liking :)

I'm not too sure what they are. Sometimes it's better not knowing some things. Overall I like finding out all the details about things in life in general, but maybe life should have some things that are just left in the curious stage without always developing into answers :)
